James Williams will present a program on growing olives in Walton County. He has had success in growing olive trees in the beach sand and knows what is required. This will be the eighth in a series of lectures tailored for local Gardeners. It will be on Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at 10 a.m., at the Coastal Branch Extension Office, 70 Logan Lane in Grayton Beach off CR 283, just north of the four-way stop.
Light refreshments will be served. Soil testing supplies and instruction will be available for $8 and Master Gardeners will be on hand to take your gardening questions.
The program is free and open to the public, however seating is limited to 30 participants. Please call Cheryl at 850-892-8172 to reserve your place.
