Thanks for the encouragement today. I am a little late in responding to this thread, but thanks. I am liking the doo rag (scarf) idea if it gets to that point. It keeps falling out on the top so I am getting worried about going short and having no height on top...oh well...we'll see.Finished my own chemo a couple months back. I went the gradual or as needed hair change route. Main thing is to take good care of your hair. And remember if it comes to it you can buy some Kate Spade scarves and fix a fabulous doo rag. And, you can do it. Do lots of spa time and pamper yourself...God Bless
Thanks sweetie---I have heard stories of different hair colors. That will be interesting. Sometimes straight hair comes in curly and vice versa...I did something like that about 10 years ago. I threaten to do it all the time b/c mine just falls out from hormonal ups and downs. My birth mother went through chemo and her hair came back platinum blonde! It's gorgeous!
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Cute, cute cute.....KDW, I'll post a pic if you will. Of course, I'm acting like a fool in mine... my friend Courtney was trying to take pictures of me last night at Tootsie's Orchid Lounge, so of course I had to ruin each shot. This one ended up staying around, because it made us laugh:

Love it.....you have motivated me....I will have to get all the products too. Here 'tis.![]()

That is so sweet to be involved that way. I am sure she loved the fact that you took her to get the scarf. I am thinking I will do a beautiful silk scarf if I get to that point. Some of our stores have some that they call a tatoo print. I am lucky though, my chemo doesn't make me lose all my hair. Most breast cancer patients lose all, but I will just look a tad thin. ok, maybe alot thin, but I had thick hair to begin with so I am hoping for a tad thin. Thanks for the story about the scarf and frame, I love it.Dune Lover, when my wife's hair started to fall out I went out a got her a new golf hat, that really did not seem to do the trick. Then I took her to the nearest Harley Davidson shop and she picked out some doo rags. We were not bikers, she was just embracing the moment and having fun with it too. She bought two beautiful scarfs and I picked one out for her. Of course, mine was made out of silk, very pretty, but when she would put it on it just slid right off. I know have that scarf in a picture frame. Remember - keep smiling.
Yea, the different looks will be grayt. I just hope it isn't some funky color and I don't have to wait forever to get it colored. I may have to wear a scarf to keep from looking like I desperately need my roots done!I had a friend/coworker that went through chemo and she wore the do-rags for a little bit in the beginning. You don't have to go to H.D. to get them either, they can be found at almost any truck stop and they have lots of colors to choose from...really they're not just for guys anymore .
Anyway, After her hair started coming in, she just wore it natural. When it's starting from scratch, it grows to the point of looking a little different every week...and who doesn't want a new hairstyle every week?![]()
Take care!![]()
I did it! I went short last week. I have had so many compliments....I love it, it is so easy and fast..... I will post a pick when I find the camera cord. Thanks for all the encouragement.
Its not quite lisa renna, but it is cute.....
