I love math also ergo Pi. And physics. Early on, I was a physics major. Hard to believe yes I know. That came to an abrupt end. I love irrational numbers. I love all things irrational in fact. I love black holes although they are kinda like Tasmanian Devils: misunderstood. :D

Have you seen the movie PI? It's about a mathematician who sees patterns in everything and some stock traders are hounding him for help.

I recovered this from last year because I love it so much!

(This is from one of my colleagues. He is prone to play the banjo in his AP English classes--gotta love him!)

I mean no disrespect to Archimedes and the Greeks...

It's also the Ides of March Eve. So reflect on the possible evil designs of those closest to you. picture yourself having to say "Et tu, _____________(fill in blank with intimate ally whose betrayal and accompanying stab wound are equally shocking)."

If you can't think of anybody, you're either A) not Julius H. Caesar or B) so Julius H. Caesar that it is fated that you miss these cues.

From the desk of a humble member of a dying breed of Southern Classicists,

I bid you a merry Pi day. Keep a good radius around you, consider squaring it. Watch your perimeter.

My calculus teacher in high school always said, "ergo" and he would flail his arms in a big swoop to land in crossing them across his chest as he finished the second syllable. Had totally forgotten about that!

Great mail - I might quote it!

Happy Ides!

I like the little triangle of dots that means therefore but don't know how to type it.

I only used ergo because it came after the word also. You know, also ergo. Sounds like a rap song. Or maybe country...

"She left me high and dry
And she made my cry.
Wish it didn't have to hurt so
She stole my heart also ergo..."

we celebrated at the montessori school yesterday by talking about the mathematical constant Pi...and then we all had a slice of PIe.

and it was delicious. didn't quite understand it since I only got the condensed carpool version of the Pi lecture plus a piece of key lime pie, but enjoyed it immensely.

I just saw your siggy. omc.:rotfl:
