OXFORD, Miss. (AP) -- Florida coach Urban Meyer was right to be worried about his young Gators' first road trip.

Despite Tebow's big numbers, it took a late Tony Joiner interception and a pair of time-consuming drives to put the pesky Rebels away in the defending national champions' first challenge of the season.

"I'm just anxious to get on the plane and get the hell out of here," Meyer said.

You should be on here celebrating your team!!!!! I'm a LSU, Vols, follower. But my biggest love is for Pro Ball....Dem  Saints gonna take em' down Monday night.....The Titans!

Thanks to Kat, Savvy, LW, and Seacrestkristi, for your very kind words and even more so for actually missing me. It is a great thing to be missed and it tells you alot about those that miss you.

I have just had a lot to deal with this past week or so with my Mom and other family members due to do my Dad's passing. It seems to get better, then Wham you have a major setback.

Also we had tree limbs fall on my husband's boat and damage the motor, another very expensive car repair for one of our vehicles and my washing machine broke.:bang:

So I have been very busy and have been reading but truly did not feel like I had much to offer to the threads so I have kept quiet.

Even though I joined last December I only recently felt comfortable enough to join in. I think I might have stepped forward too soon and need to observe for a little longer. :dunno:

But thanks again for the good thoughts, It means alot.

Thanks Lightworker for the big hug. Another major reason I have been away is this.

Every Fall that my daughter has been at Ole Miss, she is a senior, something tragic has happened to a student in the early weeks of school. It has happened again with the death of a 18 year old falling from a tree retrieving a football. 3 years ago it was the ATO house fire in which my daughter lost a very dear friend. She had been at the house the night of the fire with her friend Jordan and his girlfriend.

When something happens again it brings to the fore front the pain of that time and my heart grieves again for the parents. Meredith's friend who died in the ATO house fire was listed in the news accounts as an only child. Truth was he wasn't. His parents had lost another child prior to Jordan being born, to crib death. How does one survive such pain, I do not know. :sosad:

This young man was from Texas and it was parent's weekend and is parents were there at Ole Miss when this happened. They told the press they were glad they were close. How horrible is it that there is gladness in being close when you lose your child. Even though when the ATO fire occurred, all the parent's said the worst nightmare was not being able to get there fast enough to know if their son was one of the missing or had survived. As many had called their parents on cell phones as they rushed from the burning building and lost contact after that.

I know this is all very sad and many would rather dwell on happiness and even football scores and such. But I could not celebrate the near win Ole Miss had over Florida, which would have ranked right up there with the other Florida upset Ole Miss pulled off the last time the Gators game to Oxford, when my heart is heavy with grief over this latest tragic lost of a young life.

Dr. Phil, once said, what is it that makes us grieve so intensely for the young, it is the loss of a lifetime of opportunities.
