Okay, thought I'd redeem my smart ass, got this off the web:
The main difference is that each version will only work for a specific game platform. For example, an Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero 3 will only work on the Xbox 360 -- not the Wii, Playstation 3, and so on. A Wii version will only work for the Wii ... etc.
The versions for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 will have better graphics than the versions for Playstation 2 and the Wii since those platforms are optimized for high-definition televisions (the Wii is not -- neither is the Playstation 2).
Also, owners of the Xbox 360 will have the option of downloading more songs (and other content) via Xbox Live.
Other than that, no difference. Exactly the same.
I didn't think you were being a smart ass- I realize you don't know me. But I am probably better educated in the video game field than your average parent. I realize the graphics are similar in the two versions but I'm thinking the Wii would have to be more interactive and I'm just wondering how? and if it's that much of a difference. PS2 versions are more readily available too. But I don't want to regret buying a PS2 version if the Wii is more funn. KWIM? Also, the other night at the store I read the songs for the GH3 and they didn't seem that great.
graphics. The one with the whole band came out a couple days ago. He's hoping a friend will get it soon.
