Okay my sister and i are trying to figure out 30A and find a condo. What do you guys think about Gulf Place Cabanas in Gulf Place. Okay is Gulf Place in Santa Rosa Beach. Is there a problem with their beach access? How far to the grocery and what kind of yummy restaraunts are in the area. I came to where the experts are. I look forward to you responses!!!:shark:

Cabanas are immediately across 30-a from the beach. Immediately to the west is the condo building known as Gulf Place Caribbean which is preferrable because the units have washers/dryers in them. At Cabanas you have to go to a centralized laundy. No problem with gulf access. I believe there are three points of access. Gulf Place is a neat development and has free concerts on the green on Sundays.

:clap:We lived in Gulf Place in a townhouse for three years. Loved it. I loved that it was centrally located on 30A....although a lil bit of a scenic drive to east 30A. There is also a pharmacy right there, shops, restaurants, coffee shop, beach bar, 3 pools, a really neat group of artists, and easy accesses to the beach. The best part is it is not over crowed. There's even a bank with ATM, cool surf shop and a small spa. I know I'm leaving something out....but I'll leave that to other members to give opinions.:chill:

Have a great time familyof3!!

Smiling Fish Cafe, Amore Pizza, Miss Lucille's has sandwiches, ice cream, drinks and board game area.
The Caribbean units are also a bit larger. Many with gulf views and very good beach access just across the street (not busy). We've stayed there several times and like having the view of the little lake and the gulf. Kids can find frogs and other stuff around the lake.

It's considered in Santa Rosa Beach and there would be a Publix grocery up on 98 and to the West. Someone else may know how far it is.

You wouldn't be far from Stinky's Fish Camp restaurant or from the Grayton Beach eateries either.

We like that area. Have fun!

There is Gulf Place Inn, which has condos above the retail units, the Cabanas, the Caribbean and then Courtyard, which has bigger units. Gulf access is excellent and many units in the Inn, Cabanas and Caribbean have really good views.

My daughter lived there for 5 months and loved it. Centrally located and easy access to everything on 30-A. While visiting her, I stayed in a Cabana unit several times and really enjoyed the location.

Here is their web site.

Gulf Place

In the aerial photo, the Inn with shops and condos is circled in Yellow, Cabanas:Blue, Caribbean:Red and Courtyard in Green. Click photo to enlarge.

From Gulf Place, which is the intersection of 30-A and 393, you can go North 2 miles to get to highway 98.
Publix is building another store that will open this fall just one mile East on 98 and 393.

Great location. Great walking beaches. Golf Course right nearby and lots of places to eat.

 Rita...I was at Gulf Place today and saw that they have signs around the lakes that post there are poisonous snakes in them and be careful to stay back. I think the days of frogs and little things in the lake are long gone for the kids.:bang:

Hmmm. Could be scare tactics for liability purposes in case someone fell in? Just a thought.

If there are poisonous snakes in the lake, I wonder what they would be. Maybe the pigmy rattlers?
If so, they better put signs by all the shrubbery, etc. too. Ha!
