RicersGetOwned! (Swearing at the end to be careful at work :dunno: )

...not to mention the porn ads.

When I saw the two slow pokes racing, it reminded me of our 1979 Volkwagen Rabbit Diesel, manual shift. To slow down when going downhill, turn the A/C on high.

Hey, can I be an honorary car "guy" for one thread? (probably not, the porn scared me away, so I guess I don't qualify ;-) )

Regardless--I love the new Mustang.
I was ALL ready to save up for a new Dodge Charger when I heard they were coming out. Then they released them and they came out like this--dumbed down, namby-pamby and far too practical for a muscle car.

If I trusted mustang engines (I don't), I'd consider getting one for the looks. Besides, everyone knows I'm a Mopar girl. ;-)

Yup, I guess that wasn't a very PC post. Forgot you were a motor head too. That new charger has 345 HP. Probably will outrun the General Lee. I wouldn't mind having one. I think the new Stang is the best looking one since the real 68 Shelby. The porn doesn't pop up it's just advertised.

It really is gorgeous, the new Mustang. Seems strange that style got so thrown to the wayside in the 80s and 90s. I'm glad to see that it's coming back, even if it is due mainly to aging boomers who want to relive their teenage years...whatever it takes! Tell me they improved the reliability though...every old-school Mustang I'd ever seen was a money pit, maybe they addressed that...

Katie,
I had two mustangs over the years an 82 and a 94 loved them both - bought both new and put 150K miles on each engine before I sold it - the 94 is still running good at 180K (sold to a friend). But that was the old 302 w/a stick. Don't know about the new engines they are using now. But I wasn't gentle with the old one and it took it. The only thing I don't like about the new mustang is that they seem to be everywhere. Eveyone is driving one.

I think the motor and tranny will hold up just fine. It's all the other Ford stuff that would worry me :rotfl:
