Man! Can you imagine?
"Hey, hon, let's take to boat out for a spin this weekend!"
"Cool! I'll cash out maybe 4000 shares of PG so we can tank up and buy some sandwiches & cheezits..."
:rotfl: :rotfl:

Make that 7,000 shares because you will need a crew to operate the boat and serve the cheezits.

Jeeze - something that size and it doesn't have "cruise control"? :laughing1 :laughing1

It does, but you can't use it on the TN River. It has all the newest electronics in it. If you are crusing a night out in the ocean somewhere and someone falls overboard... the captian can find the drunken foo.... I mean the person by their heat signature in the water.

Your car probalby has a cruise control, but can it operate itself.

At least until the foo in question cools off. Pretty advanced tech for civy use... [bet that cost a bundle].

Sure you meant "can't" :dunno: Nach I was kidding about the cc ;-)

Think about it though, all of the 'lectronics are there - contact discriminating sonar and radar, GPS... Wouldn't take a whole lot of logic to stitch that together into a pretty robust command & control routine (though the "harbor" part would be way challenging compared to the "go out to some point and curise around" part.

Tech wise, that sort of stuff (not on land, of course, or in other crowded environment) is remarkably possible these days. Heck, a 'Nam vintage F-111 could, once airborne, fly to the target (and I believe effect a limited degree of evasive manuvers), drop ordinance, fly back and land all by itself (at least one documented instance of one of those pups landing with a deceased pilot). :!:

Bump ... For the catchup :D

Man that thing is awesome! Wonder how it corners in the water though. I wonder who the first guy was that drove it down the ramp.
