I just wanted to say that I really appreciate how you seem to be the only one who realizes that church and state are separated; that is after all, one of the main reasons our nation was formed. It seems a frighteningly illicit practice to use faith to sway voters.

Hmm, wonder if Fred took 6thGen's advice.

Just heard Hillary speak about the freedom from Fear, one of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt's Four Freedoms. She was an award recipient from their foundation for being an excellent representative of this freedom in her daily life. Hillary said fear paralyzes and persuades us to give up our freedoms. She says we have to be willing to ask the hard questions. Eleanor Roosevelt herself also said we must speak up even if it against the popular choice. Interesting bit on NPT. I freedoms.

Well the absolute, only hope for the Republucan Party is Rudi Juliani, and as a "left" wing, Ted Kennedy Democrat, I DO NOT think that is a terribly bad thing--because if Juliani wins, then at least the country is on the "right" path in getting back to the political "center" --"right" where it need to be!

I wish I could have optimism about Hillary. Unfortunately, she is not the perfect candidate- a long way from it. I think we are going to have to be a little more realistic about the Dem candidate- it will have to be someone that doesn't come to the election with half of the country hating her/his guts.
