Thanks (sigh). Wow--so hard to say goodbye to a friend of 13 years--both my border collies are my " kids," and I sometime feel guilty saying it, but it really feels like losing a kid, for me and my partner.

Still thinking of you, with hugs and prayers. Don't you dare feel guilty for loving your " kid" as much as a child. I have both and believe me at times I am sure the dog thinks more of me than my child, at least my dog minds.

I was out of town on Saturday but I was thinking of you and Mamie.

I honestly think that I cried harder when I lost my little John than when my mother died. And yes, it is kind of strange but there is a bond with your pet like nothing else.
