Thanks (sigh). Wow--so hard to say goodbye to a friend of 13 years--both my border collies are my " kids," and I sometime feel guilty saying it, but it really feels like losing a kid, for me and my partner.

I got so many kind condolences from Sowal, I am very proud to be a part of this online community! Thanks you all for your kindness.

A big hug to you both. They are our family in every sense of the word.

hnooe, I don't know you, but I just read that you lost your baby and I wanted to tell you how sorry I am for you. 13 years is a lovely time to spend with your best friend. It's just never long enough and it goes by way too fast. Like many others on the board, I've been there too and it hurts like hell. Time will heal your pain.

there's no way to express with words how bad I know you feel....our pets give us a piece of something other worldly and when they leave us they take a piece of us with them.

there is another little furry god..opps...dog somewhere waiting and hoping you will look her way so she can shine that light on your life once again.
