Yikes! Stay safe all you Dallas folks!!

We were in the Rock Bottom Brewery in downtown Indianapolis during the Final Four a couple of years ago when a mini-tornado (or whatever you call those almost tornadoes) hit a building a couple of blocks down and knocked out some windows. The place was full of Gator fans and we hardly noticed all the weather. Drinking helps.

Unfortunately we weren't in the Georgia Dome when the tornado hit it during the SEC Tournament because the Gators had gone from back-to-back championships to .

You know, the Westin's rounded windows still haven't been repaired. A very custom order.

Geez! Hang in there gulls! The bar is the best place to be. We had some roll through the 'Ham today, rained buckets....then was gone! Wonder what they are drinkin'?

Well, after it wandered around the metroplex, the storm meandered our way out here in east Texas- lost Direct TV about 9 PM, never lost power. Lots of wind and rain but much less than you guys got it in DFW.

Now my volunteer firefighter DH is out checking a structure fire that got called in about 10 PM.

AHHH......the joys of life in BFE by the lake!

Wow...sorry for the loss of updates! My computer went all haywire last night and I was just able to get back on! Had a few light flickers, but never lost power.

Last report from DD was last night after she got home. Her power was out and she was calling me from her car because her cellphone was out of juice! Luckily, she did get home safely. Lots of wind damage in the metroplex. Reports of a tornado just north of DD.

It is raining cats and dogs again...we've probably had over 6 inches here. Molly has been barking all morning at the thunder. She also got soaking wet going potty this morning.

Gotta good story about when the tornado hit the Dome. It's funny now but wasn't at the time. When the storm hit the Dome I told my wife, I wish we could have a storm come through and blow some shingles off of the roof so the insurance company would pay for a new one. I knew it was getting close to time to replace them with the house being 15 years old. Well, as I wished, the next day our house was hit my a small EF0 tornado and it got more than a few shingles. It got most of them, along with destroying the siding and breaking windows with baseball size hail. It even damage my truck inside the garage by driving glass into the side of my truck and hail stones denting the side where it blew the windows out of the garage. Needless to say, we not only got a new roof, we got new siding, new windows, new carpet and new floors. So as the old saying goes, Be carefull what you wish for!!!
