At 4 a.m. today it was already 80 degrees at my house. :bang: Getting ready to go to a pilates class. I may just be a puddle on the floor soon. Hope we get some rain soon. The air quality is horrible. Stay cool everyone.

Yup, we have a heat advisory again today. It's 81 now but feels like 85 and we're supposed to hit 96 today!!! ICK!! As someone said before...when it's that hot in Sowal at least you have the gulf breeze!
The bad thing is we're trying to do some fun things before school starts and it's just too hot to be outside!!!

Same here, too. We have gotten some much needed rain in the past few days so it's very, very muggy and humid. It just makes you sort of slug along.

Same here, Darlene, and I feel the same way. You have to hibernate just like in winter. It's too hot to swim--the water in the pools isn't even cool! :bang:

AND, you know it is bad when your COLD water is warm. I was brushing my teeth last night, (YES, 6thgen, I am from ALABAMA and low and behold, we do brush our teeth here) and the cold water was WARM. I thought I had turned on the wrong faucet. It was weird!!! Stay cool out there all!!!!!

I agree. The pool feels like bath water. Our temps are 100 to 102 and the pool temp is 90. The "breeze" feels like my hair dryer. Blech! I stay inside.

I think our lows temps for the day are probably around 80F degrees right now. Yesterday, I turned on the cold water (inside), and fairly hot water came out of the faucet, until I ran it for a while. It is hot, but it is August and I live in FL. July was fairly mild this year, regarding high temps. It is all a trade off. I'm sure the power companies are hating life as they near their maximum loads for the year.

I am just thankful it waited until August this year here. We were so blessed with all the rain...except those that had flooding.
