Hi all, My name is Jason, I am a young professional moving to the area from Jacksonville to work in Defuniak Springs, but looking to live near the beach/30a area. Because I'll be commuting 331 to work, I would prefer something relatively close to the bridge to Freeport. Are there long-term rentals available, what are the comparable prices, and what will the commute via 331 be like?

That's a pretty good commute everyday. It would probably be hellish in the summer months. Depending on your price range you could probably get a really nice home in Defuniak.

I have a rental in Freeport that's a 3 bedroom 2 bath home with Bonus room. It has a fenced in back yard and sits on a half acre. It will take about 20 minutes to get to Defuniak Springs and about 15 minutes to the beach.

I have a condo in Blue Mountain Beach just off of 30A. This is a 3 bedroom 2 bath fully furnished with all your Utilities. Nice place. It takes about 5 minutes to get to 331.

Give me a call at 850.830.350 or email at beachtobaygrayton.com

Thanks

How bad does 331 get in the tourist season?

pretty bad...saturday morning is impossible. Will you be working weekends, or just M-F. There have been times that I could not get to a family get together at my Mom's in DeFuniak on the weekend during the Season.

I would not want to make that drive--and now there is construction to contend with

I'd be commuting M-F 7am and 5pm. Is most of the tie-up at the bridge? Would the commute from Freeport be much easier?

I'm moving from Jacksonville, where I have a 30 minute rush-hour commute. Would Blue Mountain beach or Santa Rosa be worse than that?
