How do you read Sowal?

I treat SoWal like I do the Dewey decimal system. I go topic by topic. I never hit "new posts" because I like my news categorized. If posts were peas, they wouldn't be touching the mashed pototoes.

In the early years of SoWal, I pointed out a spelling error to Kurt at the top of a page. He said he hadn't noticed it because it never showed up on the "new posts" option. ;-)

That's how you know you're doing it right!

I read it like I would a National Enquirer- with my bull**** detector on full alert. I know that there are a few nuggets of truth hidden between the half truths, one-sided stories and downright lies just like the Edwards story broken by NE in 2007. Did I mention that was my strategy on the government and political forums only?

After those two forums, I hit new posts and dig into the good stuff.

Personally, I'm a "new posts" addict, unless I'm looking for specific info.

ahhh just mix it all together - it all goes to the same place anyway

I click new posts and scroll to where it says new posts from when I last visited.

I log in and read new posts first. Then I may read a related post, depending on the topic. Occasionally I have clicked on the forums to find topics that interest me. I have often clicked on the employment forum and daydreamed about moving to SoWal and finding a job that would allow me to live the good life!

I figure if it's interesting SOMEONE will respond/bump it back up to the top.

thats what I do! I never look at catagores like employment or for sale unless I'm starting a new thread.
