I talked to her yesterday. He does have lymphnoma (sp) they were all set to go chemo...and they found a mass in one of his kidneys...:sosad: They were doing a biopsy yesterday. The research she has done shows his cancer 50/50 success for treatment and the kidney...if it is cancer, is almost 100%.
They will resume the chemo treatment soon. If the mass is cancerous...they will remove that part of the kidney.
They all seem to be holding up well.....
I will let her know you all asked!

Hi Guys, Thanks so much to all of you for being so wonderful! I  all of you!

Just to clarify. Chemo hasn't even started yet. He may have 2 different types of cancer one in the lymph system and one in the kidney. Or the kidney may be nothing and only the lymphoma which is showing in 3 different nodes in the body right now. It seems likes it's taking forever to get the thing properly diagnosed and I guess they need to know what's the deal with the kidney before they do the chemo because surgery would need to be done first before the chemo is started. Our concerns are that every day that goes on is more risk of metastasis of the lymphoma which a rapidly growing cancer.

We've been spending a lot of time with tests and biopsies etc. We are hoping that they will start something as soon as the kidney biopsy comes back which should be Wednesday.

His spirits (and my moms) are just excellent and I'm a big believer of the mind/body connection so we're very hopeful (if we can ever get the treatment started).

We'd love to do thanksgiving in sowal but if he starts the chemo, it wouldn't be wise for him to travel, especially to a cooler climate so we'll see.

Sorry I missed you Audie. Really wanted to see you again. Will try to clean out my mailbox and hopefully be able to get back to sowalling again soon. Can't wait to get away with Alli though. Hang in there girl, we'll definitely be getting outta here soon!

Miss and Love you all,
Cork

Thanks for the update Cork. You've been missed  and we have been concerned about your Dad. Sounds like you have everything under control and I am sure it's helping his spirits having you there.
