Thanks for the info...I'm hoping the position my husband applied for comes through and we will be 6 hours closer to SoWal

Possibly relocating to Huntsville, AL and wondering if anyone is familiar with the area and any communities....new or historic...preferably tree lined and close to amenities. Prefer homes with 9 or 10 ft ceilings

Hi JUL, I was born and raised most of my life here in Huntsville. I live south of Hunstville now, but I do work in the city. The historic area is 5 Points. My sister lives in that area of town. There are alot of Historical Homes there. It is a very nice part of town. We call it the "old money" part of the town if you know what I mean. Definetly tree lined and close to amentities. I think it sounds like just what you are looking for. What company did your husband apply with? Good luck to him, I hope he gets the job. Huntsville is not to big, not too small. The perfect city if you ask me. I think TEBO could chime in here as well, as he also lives in Huntsville. Feel free to PM me any questions you might have. Will keep my fingers crossed for the job to come through!!!!!!

Kathy in my searches I did notice 5 Points and found it to be something we might like.....I also would like to know if there are any planned communities that have the new old look...where the homes are new but are built to have all the architechtural details of what a historic home offers....
My husband works for Toyota at the corporate office and is interviewing for a position at the Huntsville plant.
I of course am excited because it is 6 hours closer to SoWal:D
