FYI....we are getting a lot of calls from Louisianna and Mississippi for reservations in Sowal. Seems they want to head east away from the storm.

In Tally, the Howard Johnson on Tennessee St is pet-friendly, but I've never taken a pet. The first time I got a room there I was on second floor and it was reasonably clean (not like the Cabot, but clean). The second time I thought we were taking the pets so we were on the ground floor and we had to go out any buy Febreze.

if Tally is full, do Lake City. Jax is overkill. Dothan is usually booked. But (jdarg) let me know what you do.

Ewww, you couldn't pay me to stay there.

All you guys can come to my house. Only one tree left that could hit the roof and it has made it through many a hurricane since 1975.

I have rezzies. A 2 bedroom suite in Tally so I can keep my sanity if we have to evacuate!!

Honey pie, you don't want me at your house during a storm. Stuff happens when I get nervous, and let's just say it wouldn't be a good time for the power to go out.

Check out www.petswelcome.com

You enter your route, they tell you the pet poicy of lots of hotels along your route.

Every La Quinta is pet-friendly. No extra charge. We use them a lot when travelling with the Frog-Pooch. Not the top of the line, but usually serviceable.

I just adjusted our reservation, but did not cancel it totally.

BTW- The Residnece Inn in Tally (not the one by FSU, but the one off Thomasville Rd) is about sold out. There are no 2 bdr suites left- don't know about the others. It looks as though we may not need ours at all, but I am not canceling the whole thing yet!
