It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
The republican strategy seems to be-
Obama isn't doing well therefore- you must vote republican.
And the democratic strategy seems to be-
These are tough times and we've made some tough and unpopular decisions. But do you really want them back? Therefore, you must vote democrat.
As I said on Page 1, I am not happy with Obama or our democrat controlled house and senate. But this does not automatically mean I believe it is a good idea to vote republican. The two party system, the special interest/lobby and the media has our country broken.
The saddest part is that, based on accomplishments, there's no substantive difference in the 2 parties. They are both basically indebted to mostly the same 'contributors' and the legislation they pass clearly reflects that.
There's no way an ethical, intelligent person, who wanted to improve healthcare here in America could be pleased with a 2000+page, pork-laden healthcare bill that lays a windfall at the feet of Big Pharma, yet the Democrats preened like a bunch of peacocks when it passed.
After all they had pleased their masters....they had a reason to preen.
Same story when the Republican Congress passed the Senior Drug Care Act. Who in their right mind would have legislated that the different parts of the Federal Government couldn't get together to bargain as a single unit with Big Pharma on drug prices. The politicians preened on that one too.
The story goes on and on..The Bailout(s)...Immigration...etc..
The lack of ethics in the politicians of both parties is disgusting and they ought to be ashamed (and replaced.)
