and Utah. Just got back and all I can say is WOW! Such a pretty part of the Country. FYI- I had no idea that Idaho potatoes got as big as melons and they taste sooo much better than any potato I have ever eaten. I plan on going back soon, but have been told to go to Montana since there have been claims that it is even more striking.

Has anyone been to Montana and where did they go specifically?

Montana borders the Specific Ocean, doesn't it? Seriously, Whitefish, Montana, where Glacier National Park is, I have heard is the best.

It's beautiful - the entire state! I rode through the Great Northwest on the back of a Harley, which is a great way to see anything, really. This time of year is amazing, too with chilly mornings and pleasant days - no speed limit in MT - kinda' like the honor system - speed at your own risk. No sales tax so shop, shop, shop!

No grits, however.

It's an ahh-ha moment when you realize it is truly BIG SKY . 'Bout got a crick in my neck from lookin up.Went to Yellowstone from Gardiner, it's a neat little town, also a place called Ten Sleep, can't remember if that was Montana or Wyoming, the elevation was so scary' bout peed my pants there!
