I would LOVE to. just for a year to experience all of NY and its seasons. I could get MORE jeans and sweaters and boots and blankets and BF coats!

with each hot summer, I reallly do want to move further north, or at least spend part of the year in a cooler place.

it's really not that bad. It could be worse. sowal temps aren't usually all that far off really from my area of NY. Further north of me like 8-12 hrs it is brutally colder. I love my sweaters and boots too and my fuzzy sock collection. I enjoy winter too. There's nothing like going out for a sleigh ride, pink cheeks, some runny noses, then coming in and warming up by a big fireplace with some hot cocoa and putting your fleece on. Makes you feel alive. But by mid March I'm done. Ready for spring and sometimes it takes longer than I had hoped. If I could afford to, I would spend mid Feb through mid march in a temperate climate like Maui.

IMHO, anybody that likes winter is demented in a really contorted way!!!
