I don't like the cold, but like everything on your list. I really like winter clothing, love coats, boots, hats and such.

I think I would like the cold better if I had a fireplace, I will never buy another house without one.

But thanks for sharing the fake one.

I'm actually opposed to naturally frozen water.

I believe that all frozen water should be manufactured and located in one of the following locations:

  • Coolers
  • Freezers
  • Blenders
  • My Drink

who knew the winter season could be so controversial? btw, where the hail is audie? I know she is with me all the way!

I do sympathize with you yanks - constant freezing temps with months of snow would certainly be misery after a very little while. I can't imagine driving in those conditions.

Aw, don't worry about us north of the Mason-Dixon line. We're built tough. Sort of have to be, given that winter is the boot camp of the seasons: it's good for building character. ;-)

Not me...I love frozen precipitation and all of the dangerous sports associated with it (except driving.) Not that I'm any good at skiing, snowboarding, etc, but I sure do love attempting them!

One of my favorite memories was one of the first winters I was in this house. I have a little screened in porch with a sling-type swing, and I love sitting out there at night. I live on a main road--kind of like 30-A in volume and speed. I constantly hear cars going by.

But that night we had snow. I turned on my flood light, bundled up, and went out to watch it. It was about 1 a.m., and I've never heard such complete silence here. I could only hear the sound of the snow falling off trees in soft little pulfffs. After a while, I heard a train whistle...and the closest train track is a good ten miles from me. I coulda died happy right then...
