Hi folks!

Glad to know we've been missed! I'm working my tail off but loving every minute of it. I'm doing a whole lot of learning.

I'm working with a couple of guys I have known for quite some time. We are strictly doing remodel work (inside and out) right now. The intimidation factor is gone. I just dig in and get to it.

The market for this stuff is absolutely amazing. I have been working on bathroom remodels in a couple of houses recently. These houses are less than five years old. There is something about smashing a five year old garden tub that just doesn't make sense to me but hey, that's what I do.

About the guys I'm working with, I'm not really working with them. I'm the company's only employee. I'm the only one swinging a hammer. I'm not complaining, but it has got me thinking. These guys play a round of golf every day. I'm not exagerating. Every day. One is single and the other is married with four kids in private school. Neither come from wealthy families. (No trust funds here.) Both have bought gigantic new trucks in the past month. You see what I'm getting at. It is time for me to get out on my own. I'm basically supporting 3 families with the work I'm putting in. I have learned a ton in five months and I have family in the business to ask if I need advice. I'm about to start something I can leave for Walker one day. Mrs. LL has filled out all the paperwork but the field for the company name is blank. I'm still trying to figure that one out....

Another amazing thing is the number of people who approach me while I'm working. Today, I was asked twice if I could do work for them. I think I can do this. I'm sure I'll get burned a few times, everyone does from time to time, but I'm going to give it a shot anyway.

Another thing I'm looking forward to is being able to choose what friggin neighborhoods I work in. A couple weeks ago, I was working in a house which I should have not been within five miles of. This place was scary (and I have spent the night at the Mark Inn in Atlanta so I know what scary is). There were a crowd of fellas in this house while I was working and they stared at me all afternoon. When I left. One of them said, "I just love seein' a white man sweep the flo."

I don't need that crap.

On another note, Walker is doing great. He turned two on Friday. Today when I walked in from work, he said, "Daddy, SHOO-WEEEE, I got poop on my shoe." I thought I was going to die laughing. He is so much fun right now.

Mrs. LL is wonderful as ever, and lookin good I might add. She bought me a sweet "you've been working your butt off gift today."

We're going to try to come down sometime this month for a long weekend so let us know who's going to be down.

I'll get Mrs. LL to post some recent pics if she gets a chance.

Oh yeah, I've got these things called "muscles" now. I never knew what they were before now. The office cubicle man teets are gone forever! WOO HOO! "Where's the weight rooooomm.?" Y'all take care. I miss the crap out of you.

Wilma-Landlocked-About to be whitey..........

-PS. R.O. - Are you insane? You sold your boat? You were one of those few people who owns a boat and actually uses it. I hope you're looking for another one. You're a boat person, get another one.

-PS #2- Kurt, SJ, Tootsie - Give us another chance, we were both hung over as crap when we saw y'all, not to mention we had a group of buttholes waiting on us. We're coming down this month so we'd like y'all see how we really are. Walker B. will be there, too. He looks like a little hippy.
