I'm a Pinkston. Let's see, you were 10...that must of been 1973. That was probably my Grandaddy's gator, Jack Daniels. He used to feed him marshmallows every evening. Very dangerous to do that! There has been a lot of crabbing off that dock!

I remember a sign about not hurting the pet gator....I loved Mr Pinkston, he used to visit with me when I crabbed, once I caught a 'grandaddy' crab...biggest I had ever saw, He said the biggest ever caught off of that dock! I told that story for years. Along with the gator one of course.
