Sedona, AZ is beautiful as long as you keep looking UP at the red rocks. Otherwise, tacky commercial strip development with cheap souvenir shops, New Age schloch, and a vast sea of stucco. We spent nearly four years in Scottsdale, AZ and could not wait to get back to CA. Was like living in 250K square miles of kitty litter.

No, no - Love the Nooga (except the gray hazy days - ugh!). We were talking about all the kids emptying the nest -- then RETURNING because they love it so much!!
Ooooohhhhhh, now I get it.
The little otters haven't left so I can't sympathize with you yet....but when they finally do leave the nest & we get to go back to having dates & controlling what's on TV, I think it would be pretty hard to have them come back again

It's definitely an adjustment, but you do what you gotta do as a parent, right? Our time will come again (hopefully sooner than later).
