As our lives have grown more complex, I find that the lines in this site have grown murkier...I don't know whether this post goes here or elsewhere....But, based on my prior exxperiences here, I am sure someone will kick my butt, if I am posting in the wrong forum. I have become convinced that given the fact we are a rudderless nation until our next president is sworn in, we should discontinue the neurotic ruminations about the economy. Nothing is to be gained and the market will just continue spasming. Some of you know I am saying this from my position as a 61 YO retiree who has her and her family's lifetime savings in the market. I paid into my IRA's and retirement accounts for 40 of my working years. So, hey if I can do it you can do it. We will move through this with alot more speed if we just take a deep breath and go fishing or knitting. My anology would be, forgive me guys, childbirth. The tenser and more frightened you are, the more it hurts and the longer the labor. I hope all will do something like meet at the beach and toast your good fortune for living where you do. You young pups...quit fretting...Continue to work hard, live frugally, save as much as you can and avoid the tempation to take your angst out on others with mean, snarky remarks...We are all in this together and we will get through it together. But, we must control our emotional responses. Like my Mom taught me, be grateful for good luck but never take it for granted. We are a stronger, tougher people than this...quit whining and live your lives
