Welcome PCBRulez, when we come down we do everything in PC Beach. But unfortunately, we are not that young! But we do like the guided waverunner tours across the Bay and like renting scooters there in PC Beach. But we don't go clubbin, as we are in our 40's and 50's. But I do like hitting every beach shop that looks appealing, especially all the Alvin's Islands. I read on some PC Beach site that they were closing down Club LaVela and putting some other type of development in its location. I was initially looking at the Club LaVela site several months ago and may have read something about it on there. But not sure. Any truth to this??? Just curious.

:D Johnrudy, I agree. All the panhandle beach is beautiful. When we first started coming to the panhandle, we first stayed two years in a row at Ft. Walton Beach. This was when my son was 2 and 3 years old. That was with my parents. Many years ago. But my husband and I like PC Beach. Alot of restaurants, and alot to do. And next year Pier Park will be totally open, hopefully! I want to hit the aquatic center as I like to swim but am not very comfortable with getting in the gulf anymore, other than walking along the edge hunting shells.

When I was growing up, we always went to Pensacola Beach. It has a completely different "feel" to it. It's still my persoanl favorite. Most beach goers are locals rather than tourists. I can't explain what difference that makes but somehow it does. Maybe because of the Navy base there, it's a melting pot of people from around the world. Pretty cool.

PCB &/or FWB was always our spring break destination!

We were in the Hooters wet t-shirt contest one spring break in Panama City. I actually just dusted off my trophy. It's my Friday morning ritual.

I also fell in love with a guy named Tweeter. PC- Where dreams come true.

Johnrudy, I have pictures at home of my mom and I at PC Beach back when I was 4 years old. We had on matching bathing suits and matching sun hats. That was 42 years ago. Not near the development, wide open beaches.
