International Child Porn Ring Uncovered

WASHINGTON (AP) - After James Freeman was vetted and approved for membership in what police describe as a highly sophisticated child porn network, he expressed his appreciation by posting two folders online: one labeled "mild," the other "wild."

"All I can say is that they are worth the download," wrote Freeman, 47, known in the global porn ring as "Mystikal," according to court documents. "My thanks to you and all the others that together make this the greatest group of pedos ever to gather in one place."

Freeman, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., was one of 12 Americans indicted last week in a worldwide investigation that ultimately charged 22 people with participating in the porn ring - and intentionally blocking police from investigating it.

This piece of filth is already a registered sex offender in Florida, is proud to be a pedophile, has been charged with "engaging in a child exploitation enterprise, conspiracy, advertisement of child pornography, transportation of child pornography, receipt of child pornography and obstruction of justice" and the MOST that can happen to him is 20 years and fines?

The law and justice are 2 very different things sometimes. I vote for justice in this case!

Many years ago there was a case that put him on the offender registry. It was minor. This is bye-bye.

It clearly states that in 97 he was convicted of lewd/lascivious act on a child under the age of 16. In 1997 he was 37 years old. This in my book makes him a sick individual.

Didn't the sheriff's office have a Specialized Investigator, trained to use the Internet to find scumb like this? Oh yes, they did... She was fired for being pregnant. Keep up the great job.

Ah. That precedes the case I was referring to by about five years.

well, we all know that sex offenders / pedophiles live right here among us. and we can keep an eye on who they are and where they live (the convicted ones anyway). these are very sick people.

Much has been in the news lately about the changes in laws in Bay County where they are increasing the distance that an offender can be to certain places from 1000 to 2500 feet. Maybe it is just me, but I do not see how that would really accomplish anything other than making people feel better. During the discussion at the Bay County BCC meeting someone brought the idea of safe zones that sounded pretty interesting. And there was a lot of discussion about offenders vs predators. From what the citizens were saying it is pretty easy to get classified as an offender. Examples given were mooning, public urination, inappropriate speech in the presence of a minor.

It will not. Internet abductions are a greatly hyped but exceedingly rare event and the overwhelming majority of sex crimes commited against juveniles are carried out by family members and close family acquaintances. Sad but true.
