Can we get an update to Tropical Depression #2

at200902.gif

Our main man, Jeff Masters, says it is too far north to go through the Lesser Antilles. The typical storm to threaten us goes through them, then south of Cuba, then turns north through the slot between the Yucatan and western Cuba, then starts to curve north toward the Gulf coast. The models curve TD2 north much earlier.

TD2 also is dealing with dry air and not intensifying.

So far, so good.

We'll see, I prefer to wait until it gets a bit closer before calling it. If you want the other extreme of forecasting look at Jason Kelley over at NBC who would normally be predicting this to be a record breaker that will make landfall on PCB.

I never discount any kind of storm even if it's just coming off of Africa. I been through too many hurricanes/tropical storms that weren't going to hit the area I was in and I've also been prepared for quite a few sunny beautiful days or heavy thunderstorms.

Are you from Bluffton? Small world, indeed! ;-)

No, but I live in a BEAUtiful area in SC near there. We like the movie theatre in Bluffton.

I used to live at HHI, Lady's Is.
I love the Low Country! I remember when Bluffton was a dot.
My entire family is from that area; Chas. to Sav.

Cheers to you!

Hope this stays away from the Panhandle. Our trip to Inlet Beach is just 13 days away. There have been none all summer and now all of a sudden there are two tropical systems back to back.

And come to think of it, the people we rent from have not sent us the key yet. We usually would have it by now, only one time have we gotten the key later than usual.
