Hubby's got this on his phone. He's loaded all those cards and guess how many times he's used it. :D

zero.

and a good point, swgb. really - how many apps does a person need? So far - I like and use these apps, in addition to the phone, texting, email, ipod and camera/photos:
google calendar
google contacts
clock/alarm
weather
grocery store list
to do list
calculator
google maps
google search
yelp / around me / near me

and....

cowbell app! you can play your own cowbell complete with Christopher Walken's "I gotta have more cowbell" voice.

that's it. after all the fun wears off apps, you tend to get down to business and find the ones you really need and will really use. I need to do much more research on the useful ones but no rush. I'm still getting used to using my grocery store app - which I love but it could be a lot better - which means I have to keep searching for the better one...

Totally agree toots. It gets addictive to just download any old app that comes along. I've started deleting the ones that I can't even remember why I downloaded them.

I love my gas mileage app.

Super Happy Fun is getting ready to release the new Octomom iPhone app. No...I'm not kidding. Here's a description from somebody who has seen an advance demo...

"In the game, you’re OctoMom in the delivery room — and the goal is to shoot a baby out of her hooha and into the hands of her waiting mother. And yes, there’s extra credit if you do it when a paparazzo is in the room."

I think all of you with iPhones should go and buy that for your kids right now!

CardStar is a great free app. You can load all those little swipe cards, Kroger, Petsmart, Ace Hardware, and no longer have to lug a keyring the size of Gibraltar. The cards can be scanned at the check out or self check from your iphone.
