I do not understand how and when supporting our troops morphed into supporting the war. Let's see...Bin Laden , from Iran, attacked New York; America attacked Iraq and like Bre Rabbit, we are now stuck in that tar baby...there is o way to "fix" what we have wrought. So we have created the most monsterous war machine ever and all of this is being charged and the cost will come due for our children, grandchildren....Must it really be framed in the context of believe in the war versus believe in your country.

The morph occurred after Vietnam. Today if you speak against the war you are labeled as hurting and being against the troops! Nothing could be further from the truth. The war has cost the army most dearly, like 72% of the deaths and the marines second at about 24%. Because these are ground troops who "volunteered" (needing money for college), they don't matter. When we draft the children of the hummer drivers that will change, not before.
Yes. And I dont really think God "allows" war, lack of God in people allows wars. God has not granted his glory and reserved his preference for America only, and probably doesn't recognize American borders or concerns, past or present--nor those of Germany, Iran or the USSR. God is on no ones side in war. Pray for the leaders to have the intelligence to know what threats are real and which threats and wars are coming as a result of human arrogance and ignorance.
