Does anyone on here watch the show on Sunday nights called It Could Happen Tomorrow that is on the weather channel? I think the show tonight showcases New York City and what would happen if a Category 3 hurricane hit New York City! It is on at 9:30 ET. A pretty interesting show, along with Storm Stories. They have been talking about the New York City one but husband saw something about an F5 tornado on there last night. So I guess it is kind of up in the air as to which one is going to be on there tonight.
I don't watch the show, but there has been a lot of talk about the hurricane hitting up here. I'm not sure if they think this is "the year" it's going to happen, but it's been in the news here. I can't even imagine. I'll just pretend like it'll never hapen.

Bsmart, I did catch Katrina, The Lost Episode. That did have some very interesting and very scary things. Too strange that this was filmed 4 months before Katrina hit! Those shows are pretty interesting.

Apparently, no one watches the shows on the weather channel down there huh! I know, from your laughing smiley, you think I am nuts! But I am a normal person like everyone else.

I am spending less time with The Weather Channel this year. The kids call it "MTV for Yuppies." We want weather reports that are informative rather than sensationalist and TWC has gone over the top on the latter, in my estimation. Case in point is Tropical Storm Alberto, 45 mph winds and a hot topic. Mercy! That's good sailing weather for sporting folks. We routinely have 60 mph wind and rainstorms here, with the result being little more than an excess of fallen leaves and small tree branches. A little perspective could go a long way in these days of fear and catastrophic anticipation. We can be prepared without living our lives in constant fear. :bang:

 Maybe so, but Tropical Storm Alberto is now at 70mph. Near hurricane strength. Hurricane warnings out now it looks like from around Apalachicola to around Tampa. Hope the areas with the wildfires will benefit from this system.
