Man, how I used to love the drive-in....even before I discovered boys.
Nothing better on a summer night. Those were the days. Sigh..........

I enjoyed the drive in, too. Now it's a huge 24 cinema Regal with Stadium Seating and $$$$$.

I wish they would bring back drive-thrus!

We went when I was really little, but I don't really remember it. We wore our pjs because we always fell asleep during the movie.

This summer I am determined to check out the one in Ennis

Galaxy Drive-In Theatre

I forgot I saw that one on the way home from Florida!
This might be a good present for my granddaughter. I bet it'll be the one and only time she ever gets to go!

I have such fond memories of going with my folks in the old station wagon. Mother would make the best picnic basket and she and daddy would drink ice cold beer. I LOVED drive in movies! I can smell the mosquito coil as I type.

Thanks for stirring up those memories! :D

They did not all go away, there is a listing of where they are located and many are still open. We have 2 in Memphis.

Here is a listing: http://www.driveinmovie.com/mainmenu.htm

The first drive-in movie I ever saw was ET. I was living in California then and we set a blanket out and watched it under the stars. What funn!

I think the reason I love watching the outdoor movies at Seaside and Rosemary Beach is that it reminds me of the old drive-in days.
