If you come down south on 331, take a right (turn west) when you get to Hwy 98. Continue west 3.8 miles and JamBone is on the right (north side) of the road. Or Google map our Santa Rosa Beach Post Office. It's in the same complex.

One more question (sorry for all the questions), is Jambone a bar in that no one under 21 is admitted or do they allow children? My nephew may want to ride over there with me and i want to be sure he's allowed in.

Well dang, one more 'one more' question: I'm riding over there strictly for the ribs. Prolly try the pork, but my main goal is to try the ribs. I cook ribs in BBQ competitions, so i'm curious about how their ribs taste. Places up here (Northern Alabama) typically cook ribs only one or two days a week for use during the rest of the week. Does Jambone cook their ribs daily or do they cook on a certain day(s)? I prefer to eat ribs that are 'smoker fresh' as that is when they have the best flavor.

Up your butt JoBu. (Hope you get the movie reference rather than get mad). I can't speak to the ribs but their Hot Wings are wild! Smoked and then, when they are at their best, crisped up in the oven at high heat (one assumes). I always get the Thai ones though I would like to try different flavors. The thai is always a little different each time ..say forgot my peanuts or cilantro or no chili paste but I imagine consistency will come with time. I will admit the smoke flavor threw me the first time because I wasn't expecting it in wings...grows on you quick though.

I can't wait to get down there with y'all. I look forward to this trip every year. Such a beautiful area that hopefully will never turn into a commercial trap. I feel like i add a few years to my life while I'm down there.

Just hope the BBQ lives up to my ever-mounting expectations. I can always find room on the plate for some hot wings.

we are definitely not an over 21 joint. we are a restaurant first and foremost and cater to families and groups and the service is super fast and casual.

later in the evening we start to morph into a cool bar scene with drink specials and food specials and live music and dancing. check out the happenings on the events thread and take a look at jambone.net

we cook all of our ribs and all bbq for that matter twice each day so we have fresh of the smoker for each lunch and dinner service. i hope you will enjoy your visit and thanks for your interest.
