The National Recreation and Park Association celebrates Park and Recreation Month in July. This annual event celebrates the importance of parks and the need for recreation. Parks around the nation provide natural resources and facilities to help you find ways to enjoy the outdoors and appreciate nature while exercising, socializing and having fun.

Florida State Parks suggest creating a fishing excursion with your friends while you’re camping in one of our award-winning state parks and trails.

This month, and all month long, get out to a Florida state park or trail and enjoy the recreational activities offered. Show how you are spending National Park & Recreation Month at Florida state park or trail on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest or Twitter by using our hashtag #FLStateParks and/or #IHeartMyPark.

We are fortunate to have so many beautiful state parks nearby. All are jewels in the FL state park crown. Our family kayaks at Grayton, snorkels in the high tide at St Andrews jetties, enjoys the peace at Deer Lake, etc....

Consider buying an annual family pass to enjoy the treasure year round.
