Ok, as a local...I never go to Angelina's without a major craving! I crave Bruno's Pizza!!!!

Not a local except two times a year but I got to tell you that Bruno's pizza is about the worst. But we don't like any quick rise pizza

That's funny! Now I'm really confused. We have friends who've been coming down with another couple to stay at our place each October for the last several years and they rave about Bruno's! :dunno: They just got back last Sunday and again I heard that they had Bruno's pizza several times. Go figure! They also mentioned something about a great Greek salad? We've been sticking with Angelina's. Guess I'll have to break down and give Bruno's the taste test myself next time we come down !

Michigan but someday in SoWal as well
We went to Brunos for their lunch special in July and it was OK but not great. My 11 year old got burned on the plates that keep the pizza hot.

So far, we still prefer Angelinas for the taste of the pizza and the comfort of the place (Bruno's is smaller and more crowded).

But is sounds like we need to keep comparing the two before we come to a conclusion. It could be that we had the lunch buffet at Brunos and the pizza may not have been as fresh and it was hard to find a seat. We'll try a non-buffet pizza at a non-buffet time so it would be a fairer comparison.

My thoughts of Bruno's do not refer to only the food.

Angelina's pizza is okay, but I still have not eaten great pizza in SoWal, except when I make my own from scratch. However, I have not been to Amore-Pizzeria (Amore-Pizzeria.com) in Gulf Place yet. I am going today, though. The menu is not your typical pizza.

What ever happened to restaurants making a real pizza, with fresh mozz. ch., real basil, homemade tom. sauce? It doesn't get any better.

SRG Market has been a little disappointing. In the next few years you will appreciate all it has *trust me*.

Shades...Great view...I don't want to say the food is bad.

HURRICANE OYSTER BAR!!!- If you want seafood the place to go. Best crab bisque and the service is great! Tell them you know Wlaner and the meal is half off.

DISCLAMER: NOT TRUE ABOUT THE HALF OFF THING.

Ohh I have heard of way too many people getting sick from Angeleina's. They may have changed...but last time we went there it was a bunch of really angry women (who you don't want to see in a dark alley...if you get what I mean). Don't suggest going there... :sosad:

Seagrove Market? Uh hello...That's the best.

Bruno's- great for a hangover. Just don't let Victor talk your ear off. Plan on being there about 2 hours. And be prepared to talk about TROY's football team!

Shades...always ok. Never bad...just safe beach food.
