Eastern Lake
Looking west in the other direction we see Little Redfish Lake, Redfish Lake, Blue Mountain Beach, Gulf Place, Dune Allen Beach and beyond to Sandestin and Destin.

Your aerials of the Coastal Dune Lakes are simply awesome. I would like to see some more visions of Eastern Lake because, right now, Eastern Lake is the most endangered Coastal Dune Lake on the planet.

I do wish there had been a decent buffer between lake and development in days of yore. I'm sure the dunes that were leveled and built on were spectacular. It would be so amazing for every SoWal lake to have 100 yards or so of natural shore and vegetation with walking trails and a few common docks.

Back in the 70's Grayton Dunes was prime hunting ground for Indian artifacts. There are probably enough pottery shards buried out there to pave a parking lot. I found this arrowhead in that very area when I was a kid. Still have it!

Our pottery hunting grounds were from Eastern Lake to Camp Creek. We found maybe four partial arrowheads but no intact ones. However, we found plenty of good, decorated pieces of pottery and we were able to glue some of them together into an almost fully intact urn and it is now in the Florida Archives Building, Tallahassee
