I too suffered from an eating disorder. Thank goodness my Higher Power helped me to overcome it. It was a long hard battle. I feel sorry for Katherine, even though I didn't particularly care for her personality, and I didn't pull for her on Idol, I still think she deserves some credit for coming forward with her disease. It is hard thing to go through and I applaud her.

I just read the stuff posted on the link scarlet posted above. He was in Mama Mia.

He has a pretty impressive resume (actor, producer, etc.); and I think he's cute for an "old" 40 year old. If I were a beautiful, 20 year old American Idol runner up concerned about my future career in the business - or just single, I'd date him, too.

Don't find him particularly attractive, but I am not dating him. Perhaps they have a connection and get a long well. Some woman are more mature and some men less, so this may work for them. I know a girl who married a man 20 years her senior and 10 years later they are still happy. Neither wanted children and they seemed like they were well suited for each other.

I did not particularly like Kat's personality, but I have to give all those kids credit for getting up on the stage and performing every week and under going the scrutiny they did. Her major voting audience were teenage girls, so hopefully she will make a difference in someone suffering from bulimia to seek help.

A girl I went to high school with died when she was 15 from bulimia. She used baking soda to induce vomiting and either used too much or it reacted with what she had eaten. Her stomach ruptured and it killed her a few hours later. Needless to say, her death had a profound affect on everyone at the school. Her mother became an activist for eating disorder awareness and I never fail to remember Kristen when the topic of bulimia comes up. Eating disorders are very serious and dangerous and regardless of how we feel about Katherine McPhee, she does deserve credit for coming forward.

Ah, I bet that's it--the size of his, uh, resume. ;-)

Well, it's not always the size of the resume, but how you present it. Just like the motion of the ocean. :lolabove:

I think Katharine is very, very beautiful and not at all "fleshy" or "chunky" or whatever silly term might be used to describe a normal sized woman. I'm glad she did as well as she did in AI, but we all know where my loyalty is.
