Ok. He called around 1130 and just got off work. Asked if I wanted to get a drink. I called a guy I work with...he said I had to do it. I did. I mean the build up...Everyone was dying. So I cabbed it up to the hotel and we got a drink in the hotel bar. He did give me cab money though. He did ask if I wanted to stay though since it was so late...I kindly declined. But I have to say, he was a total gentleman...other than the behavior prior to this night.

I can guarantee you that from July to early February, and combines (March?) to late April, work does indeed rule his life. The NFL types usually get a break in May and June. That's about it. It is a tough life. Lots of road trips. Draft week is brutal. Loads of BS to keep track of.

He's a producer for the NFL Network. You ever work with those guys? He looked rode hard and put up wet. But those guys love what they do.
