I want to know how John R weighs in on Kimmi's future hairdo, Trish mcEvoy mascara, and the other women's beauty products. And, what is YOUR secret beauty weapon, John?

Let's hear from the rest of our menfolk here too! I think SJ should be our new hair consultant.

i will not be your typical respondant. after living in the mountains for over a decade, one's sense of personal adornment totally changes, for men and women. it goes something like this: citygirl moves to town and starts looking for a job and socializing a bit, hitting the bars(all 12 of them). everyone knows there's a new girl in town, men because anything regarding women is on the radar, women because there new competition on the playing field. the ratio when i moved to the mountains was 7:1, men to women. good from afar, far from good, the less wierd the better, etc. the women had their pick, but the pickings were shaky. there are many single men in the mountains. city girl is approached by many.

citygirl also is wearing what she currently owns from the city, clothes and makeup. she prepared herself to come live in the mountains by buying a pair of hiking boots from _____________ store. she will find them woefully inadequate after her first hike of substance. she makes friends and goes out, gets roommates and such. her roomates get ready to go out in about 10 minutes, her routine takes at least half an hour, and she notices her roomates makeup bags are under the sink behind the toiletries, shampoo, tp, etc, while hers is scattered all over the vanity.

what will eventually happen is, she will buy a wardrobe more suited to her environment, where shorts, fleece, and hiking boots will be the uniform of the day. moisturizer, sunscreen, and lip balm will replace the makeup that she needs to be in the city to acquire. all of this is ok, because what she came with will last until she gets back to the city for visits. she now gets made up for big parties or events only, and the daily routine involves mascara, lotion, and dermatone. outfits and suits, men's and women's, eventually find their way to the back of the closet, to be broken out like quaint artifacts for formal parties or weddings. (i didn't buy a new suit until frank and rachel's wedding last year)

she has become a mountaingirl, where fleece replaces wool, mountainbike replaces subway, and dog replaces boyfriend. shoes are removed before entering someone's house, keys are left in the ingnition, and heading to the beach happens in the winter at the base of the ski hill.

i personally think kim's hair is fine, and a few inches off the bottom will be perfect. (having never met her)

so, you moved to the beach because you wanted better odds??:D and better eye candy?:dunno: :D Just kidding JR..I like your take on city girl turns country...reminds me of a book I once read...girl moved to mountains because of the 7:1 ratio...horrible book:eek: ...but it was on CD and the only thing keeping me awake on the 8 hour trip

i moved back to the beach for the need to be by big water for a while, among other things. i will eventually head back to the mountains, where there is room to stretch one's arms without touching their neighbor's property line, and even republicans get it. the odds are down to 3 or 4:1 now, i believe. it's a life one chooses to live. cabinfever is real, prices for everything are 25% higher, and a (real) city is 6-8 hours away. and rednecks become cowgirls.(different from mountaingirls)

Kimmi, I too vote for the Nichole cut. That way you could still pull it up on Saturday mornings :)

BTW, I am the only one worried about Nichole - I think it might be time for that girl to eat a Twinkie or something. :dunno:

Yes. It's the super magic curling kind (my words) in jet black. Does not run or smudge, once it sets up, which takes a minute or two. It's definitely different.
I must be doing something wrong; it gives me spider lashes, and I hate that! :bang:
