I'm with you on the Flinstone Flippers--I don't see what's beautiful about stubby toes. I think that you and I are further along in the evolutionary process or something.

I used to be able to flip a bird with my toes. I just might start practicing that again! Stand back!!!

You can thank the metrosexual fad for that one. I did it a few times and it's just way to much effort. I've never done the waxing as my eyebrows hurt enough. That scene from the 40 year old virgin didn't instill a lot of confidence in me either.

I double pledge this part this year:
I will go polish-free or vow to keep the polish fresh, intact and chip-free.I will not cheat and just touch up my big toe.

polish free is what I am going with. but still takes work to keep those toe nails white, shaped and fresh looking. I am completely over nail polish of any kind. I used to think the toenails had to be polished no matter what. now, I think they look better if they are fresh and natural. (not yellow or hairy).

That's what I'm looking for. Not just a pedicure where they put on polish and shape your toenails, but a hoof remover. Who is best at the beach for this? Wasn't happy with the one by Publix, but someone told me that if the owner did it, I'd be happier.

I think they look better if they are fresh and natural. (not yellow or hairy).

Unfortunately when you turn 50, they start turning yellow and there's nothing you can do about it except polish them. One of the many pleasures of getting older.

well, I'm getting there. did you know that nail polish makes your nails yellow? I've definitely found that my nails are much whiter and healthier when I go for long periods in the winter without polish. still, I have to work to get them shined up and white - sometimes I will go all out for a french (only on my feet) and an american french on my hands (looks more natural). but other than that, absolutely no polish.

Yeah, I've noticed plain, no color and buffed everyday make 'em look better.
