Yes! Why do we not have basements here in Texas? Have always wondered that??????

It's the clay soils. Too much shrink/swell. Basements would have cracks and be wet. Not much worse than a wet basement.

I originally wanted something like this for a B&W vintage, 30's look. Looks like great stuff if I could've found it. I couldn't find any flooring places to see my vision. They all kept saying, "Why would you want linoleum?"
