wrobert,
"pretty gross" is in the eye of the beholder. I think the grasses are beautiful treasures. Leaving them where they wash ashore also shows that we know what true perfection is all about -- Perfection isn't found in beach with only pristine sand, which has been raked and fluffed, with all of the non-conforming materials removed. True perfection is found in accepting the ways in which nature presents its gifts to us.

Now now SJ- nature looks so much better with a big high rise or a drive through fast food restaurant enhancing the view.;-)

And I think towering 150 foot buildings are a wonder to behold. An engineering marvel, and something that I do not mind looking at.

Slimy seaweed has always been gross. Kind of like cooked okra. Great to look at, but still gross.

We are all creatures of nature, so what is not to say that the way we are doing things is not the way it was intended to be?

Now you are finally coming around. You can sit in front of those glass (made of sand) windows and look at at the paper (made of trees) blowing in the breeze. Being cooled by the 150 foot high rise that shades you with its gorgeous exterior of mud and chemical dyes. :clap:

They are idiots and when that mass of brick finally drops into the gulf it'll make a lovely reef. Hopefully it won't take your home with it. I would video tape it though, so if the collapse affects you at all you can sue. ;-)

Seriously though it does help the beach build. Leaving it where it is allows the beach to build up, this eventually turns into dune mass, and ultimately protects the existing dunes from erosion. Sounds like the folks next door aren't worried about the future or are too spineless to explain to guests that they have come to a natural setting and nature isn't all butterflies, dolphins, and rainbows.

/rant over/

hahahaha!!! butterflies, dolphins, and rainbows...hahahaha!!!!:lolabove::rotfl::lol:

I love it!!!!!!
