Snopes declared several of these facts false: the Coke being green, the duck's quack, the opossum, and the Don Mclean (which I already knew could not be true.)

But I think the cat urine/blacklight might be true, and I know the statue lore is true (at least, it's what my grandpa, who was an Army colonel, told me.)
Also I have indeed heard that Wendy's name was made up for Peter Pan but don't know if it's true.

I love Snopes. I can't tell you how many urgent email warnings I receive from people that are old rumors from years ago, discredited by Snopes.

yes, it is. but my knowledge came during the first year at culinary school while in sanitation class. the instructor came in after lunch and asked to see everyone's hands. the results were scary

I know what you mean. My sister has $65,000 small dog, and that doesn't include the purchase price, food, and normal vet bills. Needless to say, she (the dog) is getting old, and on her last leg. I have a feeling that the fish and box turtle will be the only pets for a while after the dog dies.
