Living up to Grandma's Example

I recently discovered that I have not, in fact, been living up to the example set by the women who came before me.
My mom recently uncovered this photo of Grandma Grace on the beach circa 1945.
Oh sure, I've been known to hike my dress up to my thighs but I have got to go out and find a Minnie Mouse Beach High Heels store TODAY. I feel that I have failed her thus far.

Mom said she thinks this was taken in Vero Beach. Grandpa and Grandma left mom (12) and her sisters (15 & 10) home in Illinois and skeedaddled to Vero. There were Aunts and Grandparents next door so someone had an eye on them but apparently the oldest sister beat the tar out of the other girls....meanwhile Grace is partying down on the beach. Hmmmm, I guess I am following in her footprints...minus the heels, of course.
