Local Catch

I went to Local Catch for lunch today and it was great! Grouper ceviche and shrimp tacos are the best. If you haven't tried this restaurant, you're missing out!

Oh, so much on that menu to love. The fried chicken sandwich may be my favorite.. Or the burger with egg on top.. Or the pork nachos.. Or the panned chicken with mashed potatoes. And the Local Catch team is awesome.

several tacos plus but many more great apps, sandwiches, poboys, and dinner entrees. they do have wings and someitmes specials on tacos, wings and other eats for happy hour. So many GREAT sides too... love the cheese grits and home made nachos are a specialty here. Check the menu online now. They change it up very slightly with each season depending. They just announced braised pork belly is back and oyster city brew is on tap... Menu

Well I gave it another chance( like they care). 7 taco dishes, 6 poor boy sammies, a chicken dinner, shrimp and grits , 2 fish plates. It has been the same for 4 years. Oh, there was a catch of the day I noticed in small print, but who knows what it was,because we where not told about. 5 tables in use and a 40 minute wait.It's is a poor excuse for a beach Mexican rest..

Just fyi, it's not a Mexican restaurant. But it is a southern cuisine kind of Bar and Grill with its very own character run by two great guys with an excellent team in the kitchen as well as in the house. Proud of our friends Jimmy and Adam who have worked in the restaurant business for years, since their college days, and have proudly owned and operated Local Catch for four years now. Prior to their ownership, the bar had changed hands and names several times and just wasn't working. Finally, we have a beach bar & grill that we can really love. MANY locals now frequent this joint for beer, wings, football, music, lunch, happy hour and dinner.

Dont forget the burger with a fried egg and the works. And the grouper dinner is amazing. I haven't tried the BBQ sandwich yet because I keep ordering the southern fried chicken sandwich (with hot wing sauce). The pork nachos are the best ever. Lots of Bar food for those who want wings and tacos. Tons of beer on tap and popular cocktails and drinks. TVs and sports.

Our friend Whitney has worked with Jimmy and Adam since day 1. Lots of great people on the Local Catch team in Blue Mountain Beach.

It's also a fun spot for Sunday Funday afternoons with Forrest Williams Band every week starting at 4pm. A local tradition.

Love Local Catch! Great food and selection! I've never waited 40 min to get food and can't imagine that happening with only 5 other tables in use, bad luck for the other poster??? We keep this one on short list to go to!
