Slangs like OMG, LOL and BFF that is commonly used on social-networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter and in GChat, but was unacceptable to standard dictionaries, has newly been included in the online edition of the Oxford English Dictionary (OED).
Some non-techie words, including couch surfing, muffin top, la-la land, rub-a-dub, taquito, and wassup also made the cut.
Commenting on the newly added word, Jesse Sheidlower from the OED said, "Technology has been one of the biggest drivers of new vocabulary for centuries.?
