Part-time In-Home Personal Chef / Healthy Food Prep
Work in a peaceful home and help someone’s health through food!
Wife is in the midst of a genetics research program for a neuromuscular condition, appearing to have mitochondrial involvement, so healthy eating could make a marked difference fueling her stamina for repetitive movements. We are looking for in-home assistance with healthy meal prep, loosely related to the Wahls Protocol (an autoimmune dietary plan, if curious you can google “Dr. Terry Wahls Ted Talk”), but our doctors make adjustments to the recommendations since this condition isn’t just autoimmune. So the right person must be willing to cook healthy food from scratch with a lot of vegetable prep and chopping. May need assistance with grocery shopping on occasion, or the farmers market, but we usually just have groceries delivered for convenience.
Location/Environment: peaceful home in Inlet Beach, couple in their 40s, fully stocked kitchen has gas range.
Hours: Schedule can be flexible. Will likely need 6-10 hours per week, spread between two days/week, schedule is flexible depending on the right person’s availability (such as evening instead of daytime). Hourly rate is negotiable. Length of position unknown, could be short or longer term depending on applicant and our needs, but likely at least six months.
Must have own reliable transportation.
Selection will include a background check, references, and a trial meal (applicant's time will be paid when making the meal). Preference given to those who have a strong interest in food and health. Food safety training a plus - or willingness of applicant to read and learn about food safety.
If interested, please send an email explaining your experience, resume, and hourly rate expectation to: info@seagroverehab.com
