We will be in the area in a couple of weeks and prefer to do all or most of our business locally. can anyone tell me the best place to buy fresh produce? I think we'll stick with the fish market we've been using for years, but need a good produce market. We found a place last season but we can't remember where it was. :dunno:
Thanks

Seaside Farmer's Market, Saturdays 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the amphitheater (town center) -- fresh, local, organic fruits and veggies, plants, pastured eggs, and yummy breakfast/brunch specials at Raw & Juicy (in the Airstream) by local chefs.

I appreciate your desire to support local businesses. Hope you have a great time here!

Hello, this is Peter from For The Health Of It, filling in for Ed &Rachel. We would love the opportunity to provide you with your Fresh produce needs. For The Health Of It is a locally owned and operated natural food store located in Blue Mountain Beach. We currently have a selection of over 70 items in my produce department. I will attach the link to this weeks list. Hope to see in in our market.

what ever happened to Carl Cotton?

If I recall correctly, the county, when revising the 331/98 Scenic Corridor guidelines, made roadside farmer's markets on 331 south of the bay and 98 illegal (I think it had to do with architectural and sign standards -- it was a while back, don't recall details). I tried to get an exception for them included in the new guidelines, but I couldn't get any traction with that.

For the Health of It, in Blue Mtn Beach, is a great store, with some really cool owners and employees who know their products and care about their customers.
