Lost Pup Needs Old/New Home

Sigh. We have a Daisy, too, who's also made mincemeat of the furniture. And the Persian carpets are toast. But we love her; what can we say?? ;-)

So do I. Ray-bans, many pairs of shoes, bills(she can have those!), garage door keypad, golf balls, sofa cushions. I could go on....but we love our Maggie too!

Hope you find a home for him--he looks sweet.

...but lots of people get lab puppies - and want desperately to get rid of them when they get to be six months to a year old....

Why do people do that? I, too, have seen several cases of this. One neighbor, who still has the dog, got a Lab mix pup because he thought it would turn out to look like a Lab. After the dog didn't grow more than one foot tall, the owner lost interest. That dog has stolen a shoe off of our porch, and stole another shoe of mine while I was visiting another neighbor (shoes on the porch), but I still think that is the sweetest dog, and would take her in a heartbeat if her owner decided to get rid of her.

The sweetie in the photo looks cute, perhaps a little Chow mixed in? Big question -- have you taken him to a vet to see if he has a micro chip which could identify his owner? If my dogs ever lose their colar and someone else picks them up, I hope the finder has them scanned for the chip.

You might try posting his picture and flyers at the local vets offices? There is one in Emerald Coast Plaza, Kindness Pet Hospital on 30A next to Butler Elementary, and Barry Veterinary just west of Silver Sands. Also, see if you can put something up in the Santa Rosa Beach post office.

Thanks for these suggestions. I've recently fired up an old desktop computer so I've been technically challenged but the flyers will be posted today. I will be sure to include both post offices and all vet offices. I had him scanned by Kindess on Monday. They found no chip. Thanks also for asking around.
